Аннотация

Velenth is the Dark Lord of Thance, the epithet referring to his disposition rather than his looks. But being the scourge of unicorns and bad designers can be lonely business and not even improving the sewer system beyond imagination can bring him true love. So Velenth decides that he will advertise for a “friend.” With the half-elf Reynard who is his advisor slash accountant, The Bodyguard, a tiny woman with an up-turned nose and freckles and with the ability to take down any foe in a number of imaginative ways, a kitchen maid (they both have the same taste in men), and the head gardener (he has known Velenth since birth) he sets out to whet the potential candidates. But love is a tricky business at the best of times; throw in an adopted Viking with spectacles and those nefarious characters from the Legion of Light and even Dark Lords have to cry uncle.
