I walked on a little further, but couldn't see any sign of houses or people. I was extremely tired. All I wanted to do was sleep. I lay down on the grass, which was very short and soft, and slept better than I had ever done in my life.

I heard one of them shout (я услышал, /как/ один из них закричал), "Tolgo phonac!" Suddenly more than a hundred tiny arrows pricked my left hand like needles (вдруг более сотни крохотных стрел вонзились, как иглы, в мою левую руку: «укололи мою руку, как иглы»).
