The work is devoted to the history of the community of spiritual Christians Molokans in the Amur region, Russia ,from the appearance of their first families on the Amur in the mid-19th century to the decline of the Molokan movement by the end of the 1930s. The issues of religious doctrine of the Molokans, their work and business ethics, home life, participation in the public life of the Amur region are considered. The relationship of the Amur Molokans with the Blagoveshchensk diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church and the administration of the military governor of the Amur region are studied. Much attention is paid to individual Molokan families. The life of the Molokans is presented in the context of the socio-economic development of the Russian Far East in the second half of the 19th - first third of the 20th centuries. The book uses documents from state archives, periodicals, memoirs, and works of modern authors. The publication is intended for specialists and a wide readership, for everyone interested in the history of the Amur region.
