Jase took everything Leyton offered, swallowing his seed, then surging to his feet and crushing his mouth to Ashlynn’s while Leyton remained mashed between them. The kiss was fueled by months and months of fantasies finally coming true. While he cupped the back of Ashlynn’s head with one hand, Jase slid his hand beneath Leyton’s jacket and gripped Leyton’s waist, holding him, not wanting him to get away just yet.
Regardless of the excuses Leyton came up with, Jase wasn’t willing to let him walk away from this. Nothing—absolutely fucking nothing—had ever felt as right as this.
And Jase wasn’t going to let it slip from his grasp just yet.
Chapter Twenty-Two
Her imagination was good … but not that good.
Before they had made it back inside the house, Ashlynn knew they’d lost Leyton again. Granted, she wasn’t sure they’d ever really had him, but there for a few minutes, she had pretended they had. What had just happened in the garage… She hadn’t imagined that.
No, the way the three of them had come together had been damn near cataclysmic. As she’d suspected, Leyton was an attentive lover. He’d sent her careening into the abyss with ease, and that was after she’d held back several times in an attempt to make the pleasure last longer. There were times she’d done that and it had backfired when she couldn’t achieve orgasm, but not tonight.
“Where’s everyone?” Leyton asked, back to business as soon as they were in the house.
“My brother’s manning the front of the house, Leo the back, and Teddy’s keeping an eye on the monitors.” Jase spoke as matter-of-factly as Leyton. “Rock and Sal are checking the perimeter.”
“The whole house is wired?” Leyton inquired, obviously catching on to what Jase had said about Teddy.
Ashlynn smirked, enjoying the embarrassment that reddened Leyton’s cheeks. She seriously doubted that Teddy had watched the encounter—or maybe he had, she wasn’t sure—but she didn’t bother to tell Leyton that.
“I’m gonna go to bed,” she said instead, directing the statement at both men when they stopped in the living room. As though she did so every single night, she walked over to Jase and kissed him solidly on the mouth. Then, without hesitation, she did the same to Leyton. “Y’all are welcome to join me.”
She knew Leyton would refuse, so she didn’t give him time to respond. Adjusting her robe at her breasts, she smiled back at Jase and ventured up the stairs. Once she was in her room, she let out a breath and sat on the edge of her bed. Her mind was still reeling from a few minutes before. It was hard to believe that her ultimate desire had finally come to fruition. Although it could’ve been better—if the three of them had had more time to explore—she didn’t regret it.
No, the only thing that Ashlynn worried about was that if the opportunity were never to present itself again, she might never know that sort of deeply satisfying completion twice in her life. She’d been whole for that brief period of time. More so than she’d ever been before, and it wasn’t simply because the orgasm had been incredible, either. She’d had both men she craved like a drug, and now, as with any narcotic, she wanted more.
Ashlynn’s cell phone rang, and she was grateful for the distraction. The last thing she wanted to do was overanalyze the shit going on in her sex life.
Grabbing it from her nightstand, she noticed it was her brother Aidan, which made her smile. She needed someone to talk to, and he’d always been her go-to person. She hit the talk button and leaned back on the bed, staring up at the ceiling.
“Hey, Aid,” she greeted. “Surprised you’re up this late.”
She could hear the smile in her brother’s voice when he said, “Me? I’m not the old one.”
Ashlynn laughed. They were almost exactly the same age.
Aidan wasn’t her brother by blood—at least they didn’t think he was, although it was possible they did share the same father—but he was as much her brother as Max, Victor, and Brent, as far as Ashlynn was concerned. Aidan was only two weeks younger than she was, and Genevieve had not given birth to him, so they all knew he wasn’t related in that regard. On top of that, he was the only one in the family with blond hair, and he was shorter than her other brothers by several inches, topping out at five foot ten. And for the most part, he didn’t look anything like the rest of them.
Where he’d come from… At this point in their lives, that was still anyone’s guess. The only thing they knew for certain was that her parents had brought him home just three weeks after Ashlynn was born, or so she’d been told. For the longest time, she and Aidan had plotted to find out what had happened, how he had come to be an Adorite, but Ashlynn had dropped it when Aidan had. Because they were the same age, they’d been relatively close growing up. They’d been in the same grade, sometimes in the same class. But as they grew older, Aidan had begun to distance himself from everyone, closing himself off to those who cared about him. When everyone had given him the space he obviously wanted, Ashlynn had always tried to be there for him. The same as he’d been there for her, no matter what was going on in his life.
“What’s up?” she asked him.
“Nada. Just wanted to talk.”
“About?”
“I heard about Moroso,” Aidan stated, sounding angry.
“Did you talk to Max?” she asked. She still hadn’t had the chance to speak to her oldest brother, but she wanted to, wanted to know exactly what the fuck was going on.
“No. Leyton.”
“Leyton?” Why would Aidan have talked to Leyton?
“Yeah. He called me. Called everyone, actually. Wants us all to keep an eye out. Be careful.”
“You should,” she told him. Just because Marco had targeted her specifically didn’t mean he wouldn’t take out his anger on any one of them.
“I’m always careful,” Aidan stated. “Not that it matters. No one sees me as an Adorite.”
“That’s not true,” she snapped defensively. “And even if it were, I’d rather be you sometimes.”
She heard another smile in his voice. “It’s good to be me.”
“Have you been drinking?” Aidan had been known to numb the pain the same way she had over the years, but unlike her, Aidan also had a history of drug use.
“A little,” he admitted. “But seriously, Ash. I want you to be careful. ’Kay?”
“I’m always careful,” she said, tossing his words back at him. “And anyway, I’ve got Jase and Leyton here with me.”
“Leyton’s there?”
“Yep. He’s my new babysitter.”
“Hmm. Now’s your chance.”
Ashlynn laughed. Aidan knew how she felt about Leyton. “Trust me, I’ve tried.”
“Try harder,” he encouraged.
Ashlynn remembered the events from a short while ago in the garage. She wasn’t sure she could try much harder than that. Sure, Leyton had submitted to his desires, but whether or not there would be a repeat of that event was yet to be seen.
“Well, I better go,” Aidan said, his words slightly slurred. “Be good, sis. And watch your back.”
“I will,” she promised. “Love you, Aid.”
“Love you, too,” he muttered before disconnecting the call.
Dropping her phone to her chest, Ashlynn stared up at the ceiling, her thoughts once again drifting to Leyton and Jase and what had happened in the garage.
More importantly, she wondered when she’d get that chance again.
If ever.
Chapter Twenty-Three
The feelings... They’ve only intensified.
When Ashlynn went upstairs, Jase decided to head to the game room. Or rather, the room that had been converted into a virtual shooting range. It was the one place he sought when he needed time to think, to burn off some excess frustration. And he certainly had some to burn off now.
Although he’d just participated in some of the most spectacular oral sex of his life, he hadn’t gotten off, and he knew his nuts would be blue before long. It wasn’t that he wouldn’t have had the opportunity. He simply hadn’t wanted things to go that far. Not yet.
