Передостаннє слово у грецькому тексті — οἴκοι («додому») [223d11]. Сократ іде додому тільки на короткий спочинок, довго там не затримується: як і Ерос; він завжди бездомний (ἄοικος) [203d2], вільний від полону речей, що зводили б його на манівці зі шляху ненастанного й неспокійного пошуку Краси, Істини та Блага. Подібно до Ероса він — філософ-любомудр, а отже, вічний подорожній на шляху до втраченого раю.
