У человека вполне достаточно объективных причин, чтобы стремиться к сохранению дикой природы. Но в конечном счете природу может спасти только его любовь. Природа будет ограждена от опасности только в том случае, если человек хоть немного полюбит ее просто потому, что она прекрасна, и потому, что он не может жить без красоты, какова бы ни была та форма ее, к которой он по своей культуре и интеллектуальному складу наиболее восприимчив. Ибо и это — неотъемлемая часть человеческой души.
