CHERYL COKER
Born April 24, 1957 • Died October 30, 1990
The repertoire of mutilation evidenced a now familiar horror: Cheryl’s right breast had been removed and placed nearby.
SUSAN STERNFELD
Born February 6, 1963 • Died December 19, 1990
A nice girl who fought valiantly against a not-so-nice drug addiction, she was surprised by her killer and had no chance to fight back before being strangled and carefully posed in an empty dumpster enclosure.
KATHLEEN MILNE PUCKETT
Born August 23, 1948 • Died January 18, 1991
Bizarrely posed with her face twisted into the ground and her hair teased out.
CHERIE PAYSEUR
Born November 7, 1966 • Died April 26, 1991
Left in a flower bed in the parking lot of a bowling alley where Bill often bowled. The police stood by the body and watched as automatic sprinklers washed away all the evidence. The jury hung at eleven to one in favor of conviction—meaning that eleven jurors voted to convict even though there was not one shred of evidence against Bill.
SHERRY LATHAM
Born January 23, 1954 • Died July 2, 1991
Sherry’s right thumb and index finger were wrapped around the branch of a bush, and the other three fingers were clenched. The killer thought she was dead when he dumped her here just off the side of the road, but she apparently had one last gasp and tried to crawl for help before succumbing.
KELLY HAMMOND
Born July 2, 1964 • Died August 15, 1991
Bill was feeling more than a little ignored as his brand new baby daughter had become the center of attention for family and friends. Kelly made the mistake of being the first person Bill ran into after another prostitute scammed him. Note the demeaning pose of the body—head bowed into a trench; rear end upraised; legs, feet, arms, and fingers bent under or fanned and pointing with particularity.
Aspects of the pose are identical to Bill’s description of his own crumpled body after his near-fatal motorcycle wreck in 1988.
See Chapters 13, 14 & 15.
CATHERINE McDONALD
Born November 4, 1960 • Died September 13, 1991
Bill’s championship chili was simmering on the stove in anticipation of the Riverside County Employees’ Picnic and Cook-off, but Bill knew he needed one last ingredient for his “special” recipe. That night, he went out alone in his van. The next day, Bill won the chili cook-off, and Cathy’s strangled, stabbed, sexually mutilated body was discovered in a field. Her right breast was missing. It’s never been found.
DELLIAH ZAMORA
Born June 19, 1955 • Died October 29, 1991
Delliah was splayed out by the roadside like she was thumbing for a ride.
ELEANOR CASARES
Born August 2, 1952 • Died December 22, 1991
Eleanor was found in an orange grove that Bill refers to as a “graveyard”. Her right breast had been removed and hung from a tree branch.
DIJIANET SUFF
Born July 20, 1973 • Died September 25, 1973
Note the handprint on Dijianet’s head. She was battered, broken, and burned with cigarettes. The cause of death was a burst liver. The instrument of death was Bill Suff.
LISA LACIK
Birthdate unknown • Died January 18, 1988
Lisa was found in San Bernardino County, her right breast excised and tossed nearby, her head bent forward and buried in the ground like an ostrich.
“It didn’t break!” X-ray of the 95 watt GE “Miser” lightbulb Bill placed in the womb of murder victim Tina Leal, “the chicken girl”.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY SHERIFF PHOTO LINE-UP

After Bill’s arrest, this photo line-up was shown by police to the only living eyewitness, Rhonda Jetmore. She supposedly pointed to number two, Bill Suff.
