Foreign investors divested themselves of American bonds. In an effort to save his wealthy friends, President Bush forgot about the people. He put Secretary of Treasury Paulson in command thinking it would move America forward, but it was too late. Bush and Paulson gave away more than a trillion dollars to the wealthy and corrupt. The end of President Bush’s second term found inflation running high, and the debt had reached nearly eleven trillion dollars. A large port of the American budget was marked to pay just the interest on the debt. Even the new president, Barack Obama, was unable to stop the increasing financial burden. During Obama’s first year he also gave away more than a one and a half trillion in welfare for the wealthy matching Bush’s last year in doling out to worthless bankrupt companies to keep those that had donated to their elections happy.
Bin Laden and Sharafan had almost accomplished the impossible without firing a shot. The Americans had almost destroyed themselves.
Sharafan could still remember bin Laden saying, “Americans have dug their own graves. Now it is time for us to bury them.” Bin Laden did something seldom seen by others. He laughed. “The Twin Towers worked better than suspected. Single handedly Bush has almost destroyed America for us. Each year he over spent to fight a war against a word-terror! Something he can never defeat. He has doubled his countries debt and added another trillion to the debt in his last year just to help his wealthy friends on Wall Street, just as I suspected he would. Americans are angry that he is giving welfare to the wealthy and that is good for us. Obama will be no different and will be unable to slow the financial slide. In less than four years the United States will be bankrupt and nothing will save them. I predict that at the end of 2016 the great American Empire will come to an end and will be ours for the taking.”
There were bombings at professional sporting events and vacation resorts, and bio-terrorism in the mail. Rockets shot down commercial airliners. Cyanide was used in Los Angeles where thousands more died. A small briefcase-type nuclear device bought from Pakistan was used in downtown New York. Although not very powerful, it had devastating results. Over a period of time the radiation slowly killed thousands of people. This completely demoralized the American people. Thousands moved away from New York each day. Property values in New York plummeted to that of desert property outside of Phoenix, Arizona. Eventually people moved back to New York but it was too few and too late. The United States was crippled.
With each terrorist act the United States would bomb some Middle Eastern country and spend billions more on defense and give billions more to buy countries that had no intention of becoming an American ally. Fear controlled Americans, and the politicians’ rhetoric only compounded that fear. America issued sanctions against Middle Eastern countries while pampering Israel. World hatred for the U.S. continued to grow. While the United States demanded the Middle East stop the movement of arms and terrorists across their borders, they failed to see Coalition forces simply walking across her southern borders daily. Al-Qaeda had a standing joke that it was easier to bring weapons and hide in America than it was to do the same in Syria.
Terrorist attacks against the United States had continued unabated until 2010. The United States was on the verge of bankruptcy. During this time a few changes were made to the secret cells strategically placed in the United States. They now consisted of ten dedicated men per cell with one leader. Every other cell had a sleeper, whose job it was to act like he wanted out and to weed out any traitors to the cause. Although it was a risk that some might begin to like America, every member of a cell was expected to find a job and pay for all his expenses. They would be notified when their cell was activated. All were expected to buy high-powered rifles, join gun clubs, practice with them, and become proficient enough to be rated marksmen.
Of the original eight cells activated, four cells perished on aircraft, and ten of the remaining men were caught and held for trial. Of the original 150 only 122 remained: twelve cells with ten each. But the next year that number tripled to thirty-six cells. In 2003 it had grown to sixty cells. The Coalition of the Al Qaeda was growing in leaps and bounds and helped tremendously when groups of South Americans tried to join. This number nearly doubled each year until 2010, assisted by many new members from South American countries. There were now almost 6,000 cells with a total of 60,000 men waiting to be activated.
Then in 2010 all terrorist attacks stopped. Rumor was Alef Rasad had been killed. The new American president claimed victory and blatantly proclaimed terrorism in the world had been brought to an end through the United States’ dogged determination. This was all part of the plan. Now rumors of terrorism surfaced monthly in all parts of the United States. The cry of “wolf” took all that financially remained from the United States.
America began to implode under President Obama. He was no different that Bush had been. In fact in less than two years in office President Obama became the Muslim Brotherhoods greatest asset. Billions, literally trillions were doled out to the wealthy with nothing going to the American people. Obama touted change but hired those that served under President Clinton. The same financial mistakes were repeated only on a grander scale. The home loan debacle, or “toxic loans” as many called it, brought America to its knees. In response to the corruption of Fannie Mae and A.I.G., billions in bonuses were passed out with the bailout money they received. Obama hired financial gurus from Fanny Mae where the “toxic loans” began. Those responsible for America’s financial collapse were put in a position to finish what they had started. And finish it they did. Greed overcame their dedication to America, just as Osama bin Laden had predicted. The end was near.
Americans had been taxed to death the previous eight years, but what all Americans learned in 2011 was worse than a nightmare or terror. Congress and President Obama were determined to keep the large companies of America and their accounting practices in check, only to have their own accounting practices, or lack there-of, become the most scandalous and shocking event in American history. Ironically, an outside accounting firm brought to the attention of the news media, and the American people, that the interest on the government debt exceeded the taxes collected. This was worse than any terrorist act. The United States was bankrupt.
This information had only aided Sharafan’s plans. He survived, and the Coalition prepared for the final steps of their plot. He never forgot his fatwa, but something else had become more important, and that plan was already in motion. With the financial collapse of the United States, they would literally be able to walk across the border to take America. Rasht Sharafan was about to bring a final and lasting defeat upon the United States of America!
Everything Osama bin Laden had set in motion had worked like a finely tuned watch almost to the minute. Sharafan could still remember his last meeting with Osama bin Laden. Less than two years before, he had been sent an urgent message to meet with bin Laden. Upon the request he had rushed to the expensive hideaway in Pakistan.
