A huge, square diamond lay inside the box.

Manic emotion swept over her and she knew there would be no way to stop the river of tears that had started to stream down her face.

Incredibly, everything around them seemed to melt away. It was just him. Just her.

He picked up the microphone and stared into her eyes. “Do you think it’s okay if we play together, if you’re my fiance?”

The crowd erupted again.

All Tiffany could do was cover her mouth. Her hands trembled. She couldn’t believe this. She let out a laugh and nodded.

His face went from teasing to serious and he turned to the stadium and put a finger to his lips.

Instantly, they quieted. “Tiffany Chance, will you marry me?”

The stadium erupted again.

Sam laughed and turned to the people. “Shh, let’s give her a chance to answer.”

She was already nodding, tears moving down her cheeks. She stood, and Sam stood, pulling her into his arms.

Finally she took the microphone and said into it, “Yes!”

Then she accidentally dropped it because Sam kissed her so fast.

The crowd went crazy.

Finally, Sam pulled back and both of them laughed. Sam took the ring out and slipped it onto her finger.

Then he kissed her again, before letting her go and reaching for his guitar.

“Come on, Chance, let’s do this.

A stage guy rushed out and helped fix the microphones.

The band started playing Bon Jovi. Tiffany smiled, thinking how much she loved this man. How much he’d given her. Changed her.

He winked at her. “Are you ready?”

She grinned and strummed her guitar. “Just play, Dumont.”
