FBI Special Agent Jake Hunter is reeling from the loss of his partner in a violent gun battle, only to stumble into a mystery and a series of criminal acts of unprecidented proportions. He is paired with NSA Agent Honika Badger, a petite woman with her own unique talents. Together they follow the clues and money through international banks, criminal cartels, secret military groups and corrupted politicians to a conspiracy so vast and technologically advanced that it threatens all life on the planet.
Jake comes into possession of a watch, owned by a member of this elite group, that is counting down the days, hours, minutes and seconds until an Extermination Level Event will be triggered on the sun, creating a Coronal Mass Ejection that will incinerate the surface of the planet if every country doesn't surrender total control to this elite group. Agents Hunter and Badger scramble through a maze of clues and evidence, desperately trying to discover who is behind this threat and how they can be stopped.
Hunter's and Badger's efforts are hampered by an increasing number of progressively more intense solar storms that damage equipment and limit their ability to use existing technology to locate the elite group and its members. As the resolve of the elite group is terrifyingly demonstrated, world leaders are forced into making more and more desperate choices.
