I heard one of them shout, "Tolgo phonac!" Suddenly more than a hundred tiny arrows pricked my left hand like needles. A second shower of arrows hit my body and face which I immediately covered with my left hand.

I thought the best thing to do would be to lie still until dark, and then free myself with my left hand. When the people saw I was quiet they stopped firing arrows. I knew by the noise that more people had arrived.
