В заключение следует сказать, что предположение, согласно которому останки трех человек в Гробнице I принадлежат Филиппу, Клеопатре и их дочери, выглядит маловероятным. Кто эти три человека, никто не знает, но, пытаясь отождествить их, мы вовсе не обязаны ограничиваться IV и первой половиной III века. Таким образом, маятник научной мысли пошел в обратную сторону; теперь мы более склонны полагать, что в главной камере Гробницы II похоронен Филипп II, а в проходной камере — одна из его жен (скорее всего, Меда, хотя нельзя исключать, что это Клеопатра), и, наверное, на этом мы пока и остановимся.
