На фотографиях видно, что эти светящиеся звездообразные источники (активные галактические ядра) окружены, как и предполагал Лавиолетт, дисками спиральных рукавов. Ранее, в 1982 году, группа астрономов при помощи специального оборудования делает снимок галактического светлого пуха вокруг квазара ЗС273. Он был опубликован после того, как Лавиолетт выдвинул свое предположение. В 1997 году астроном П. Крейн публикует фотографию активной эллиптической галактики, сделанную космическим телескопом Хаббла, на котором прекрасно видна экваториальная полоса пылевой материи, и показано, что галактика, как и предполагал Лавиолетт, ориентирована в поперечном направлении.

Исправление возраста, определенного радиоуглеродным методом, производилось путем сопоставления климатических горизонтов в датированных по радиоуглероду земляных профилях с такими же климатическими горизонтами в записи керна льда GRIP (Гренландия), датированных по абсолютной геохронологии, расположенной в Интернете по адресу: http://arcss.colorado.eclu/data/icecorel.html), http://arcss.colorado.edu/data/icecorel.html). При переводе радиоуглеродного возраста ниже уровня 14 500 лет до настоящего времени датировки керна льда сравнивались с датировками радиоуглеродным методом урана/тория Барда и др.
