Аннотация

Ruth couldn’t commit murder—

• The caller was Julian Smith, a friend who was also a detective on the local police force. And the story that Julian had to tell was chilling.
• A man named Cox had been found murdered in a local motel the night before. He had been shot with a gun that was registered in Dave’s name. Furthermore, he was an old boyfriend of Ruth’s and at least one witness swore that she had heard the victim, in the next room, call out Ruth’s name.
