1 Panther lost on 5 February, destroyed by enemy fire.

1 Panther lost on 12 February, destroyed by enemy fire.

1 damaged Panther cannibalized and written off on 23 February.

A great many more tanks were damaged, either by fire or due to mechanical breakdown. This is illustrated by the work of the repair services of the battalion. Between 27 and 31 January eight tanks were repaired. This work was intensified between 1 and 11 February, when no less than 57 Panthers were repaired. From 12 to 20 January another 40 were repaired. Obviously tanks went in and out of the workshops quite frequently.276

The ration strength of the battalion amounted to 907 officers and men on 21 January. This changed somewhat during the battle. On 1, 11 and 21 February the ration strength was 1,051, 1,028 and 964 respectively.277

On 1 March the battalion had 58 Panthers, of which 52 were in workshops. Its casualties during February 1944 amounted to six killed in action and four wounded.278

Werfer-Rgt. 55

The regiment arrived at XXXXVII. Pz.Korps on 1 February and was directed to cooperate with the 11. Pz.Div.281 It seems that its I. Abt. was missing, but the 21. Bttr. (Pz.Werfer) was present.282 On 5 February it was decided to send the regiment to Kampfgruppe Haack. By this time the I. Abt. was included in the regiment.283

The regiment arrived in February to support III Pz.Korps relief attempt. The I. and II. Abt. each had eighteen 15 cm rocket launchers each on 3 February, when the regiment was subordinated to III. Pz.Korps. The regiment had only two battalions present.284

III./Art.Rgt. 140

Late on 24 January, this battalion was ordered to leave the Großdeutschland division, which it was temporarily subordinated to, and assemble at Kapitanovka to be subordinated to XI Korps.298 It seems this was not done immediately, since on 26 January 1944, it was ordered to transfer from LII.
